About the Role

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism and ADHD. The pupil benefits from structured support to help maintain focus, stay engaged with learning, and manage transitions between activities.

The role requires someone who is attentive, adaptable, and able to recognise early signs when the pupil may need support or a change in activity. With the right strategies and consistent support, the pupil responds well and continues to make progress.

Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism or ADHD
• Patient, calm and attentive approach
• Ability to support focus, engagement and classroom routines
• Confidence adapting activities to suit individual needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
