Role summary

An Ofsted Outstanding specialist school in Barnet is looking for an SEN Teacher to join its secondary department on a temp to perm basis.

Pupils are working on the ASDAN curriculum rather than GCSEs, and have severe learning difficulties. None have severe physical needs.

The role:

  • Secondary SEN Teacher, temp to perm
  • Classes of around 10 pupils, with an average of 4 support staff in each
  • 1 day working from home each week for PPA
  • Paid to scale

The setting: Ofsted Outstanding specialist school in Barnet, North London (NW7), with a supportive and well-regarded senior leadership team.

Day to day: Planning and teaching an ASDAN-based curriculum to a small class, working closely with a large team of support staff to meet each pupil's individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with severe learning difficulties
