Role summary
An Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Northolt, West London, is looking for a Lead Teacher for its small SEN base on a temporary basis, initially until Christmas, with the possibility of extension.
The role:
- Lead Teacher for an SEN base of 13 pupils across Years 3 to 5
- Temporary, initially until Christmas, with the possibility of extension
- 8:00am to 4:00pm, with PPA time
- Around 3 support staff in the base
The setting: Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Northolt, West London (UB5), which is joining a federation, with scope for development along the way.
Day to day: Pupils have a range of needs, including DLD, ASD, and regulation and behaviour needs. They work towards national curriculum objectives, with a strong sensory curriculum. You would teach the base and work closely with the support team, adapting your approach to each pupil.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally in a base or specialist setting
- Confident adapting lessons to different needs as the day goes on
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
